something old...for modern weddings

i found this during my visit to tmn. tamadun islam terengganu. i think it's in Mekah Gallery. very similar (or shall i say exactly the same) to silver box that we use for hantaran. this box might be hundred or thousand years old.

and this wooden box was used to keep al-Quran. i was so fascinated!

walaupun perkahwinan org zaman sekarang lebih tertumpu kepada persiapan ala moden, tapi masih mengekalkan ciri2 keislaman seperti memberi hantaran al-Quran dalam kotak kayu/silver.lebih membanggakan, ada yang sanggup berhabis duit membeli al-Quran yang mahal sebagai hantaran(bukan handbag hantaran je nak mahal tau!)

okay sebenarnya nak tunjuk warna turquoise and silver tu mmg good combination :P

but really, it's nice kan? :)

Kuantan Wedding

salam and greetings to all..
exactly one month ago, i was in kuantan doing this fresh flowers hantaran for Ifa. at first, we (ifa, kak yana<--mastermind and me) planned to do a red-and-white-theme hantaran. then kak yana emailed to me the pictures of ifa's baju bersanding which is dusty pink in color. so i suggested red, pink and a pinch of white in silver trays. to be honest, i was shocked on how it turned out. the combination is menjadi! :)

another red wedding..

ija is one of my easy-to-deal-with customer. she's fussy, she has ideas on what she wants and always open for discussion. initially, she wanted black and silver hantaran but changed it to red and white hantaran. well, she made a rightttt choice! you can NEVER go wrong with this color, believe me!

just got the pictures today..ain't she cute!!! :D

she must be looking like a barbie doll if she's wearing a bridal gown! :)))
